These are three shots we took of the a blue tit on the feeder. rather than use a big expensive telephoto we set up the DSLR with the kit 55-250mm lens on a tripod. With plenty of light, we were able to set the f stop pretty high, to give us a good depth of field. The shutter was controlled with the Intervalometer. This is a great bit of kit which can be used as a remore shutter release or for doing timelapse, and repeat shots for astrophotography.
Important Note: We don’t use green nest any more! They are dangerous for the birds. We now present our fat balls in a metal holder, and more recently have started making our own which are presented in coconut shells.
